Making Sense of the Cat Fight

RHOBH

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Drama… ugh.

Where do we start? This whole season has been emotional - Game Night from Hell, Domestic Abuse, Tea Party from Hell, substance abuse, etc. - and I honestly thought the reunions were going to be boring. HA! There does seem to be some calculated effort by Taylor, Kyle, and Adrienne to pick fights with Lisa & Brandi. Be warned I will be spilling some spoilers but mostly my thoughts and I am #TeamBrandi on this one… :)

Kyle at one point tried to paint Brandi as two-faced after she invited Brandi to a party and Brandi sent a text back (meant for someone else) that said “Kyle is a cunt!” Brandi totally owned that she did that and it wasn’t meant for Kyle - no two face there. Brandi has been honest and extremely open from the very beginning. I have liked Brandi ever since Game Night when she called Kyle and Kim out for being mean girls. This is why I’m Team Brandi… she calls it like she sees it and if she did something she will admit to it. Like when Taylor tried to embarrass her about slashing Eddie’s tires - Brandi said she did it and went into details about it. Respect. I mean I would want to do the same thing if I just got cheated on and she told him before he drove with slashed tires. I can’t say I would have done that. #JustSaying Kyle said Brandi was being Angry Spice but I say she was being Truth Spice.

The reunions have mainly focused on how they think Brandi is trash and how they don’t get Lisa’s British Humor - *rolls eyes*. Lisa is another one that is honest and I see it on the show, whatever she says behind your back she tends to say to your face. They are just focusing on these funny little one liners Lisa is famous for and just ripping it apart. I mean, are they seriously sitting there talking about what a dog posted on Twitter? Seriously? My actual reactions was “IT’S A FUCKING DOG!” I had an outer body experience as Taylor was discussing how Giggy’s tweets were inappropriate and hurt her feelings. Seriously? LOL

The main focus so far has been the elephant in the room of Taylor, her domestic abuse, and her husband’s suicide. I find Taylor to be fake, a shit stirrer, and a liar. I have not liked her at all since the show began. I highly doubted her claims of domestic abuse but I do believe Russell did abuse her. I feel for her situation and it’s so sad and while I do understand her claims of telling her story to save lives and to show women in domestic abuse that it’s not okay - I do not believe her to be sincere. That’s just me. It really do find it inappropriate to have a book out and be on a press junket that fast. Like Brandi said “What has it been? A hot minute?” It does seem money hungry. Take some time away from the spotlight and heal and take care of your daughter. I understand the financial problems Russell had are now yours but… it feels wrong. So wrong.

It’s really odd, I started the season liking everyone but Taylor and after the reunion so far… I only like Brandi, Camille, and Lisa. Kyle’s true colors have come through on the reunions, Taylor just comes off as fake, Adrienne has a chip on her shoulder that she won’t deal with and just keeps making snide comments, and Dana Wilkey… ugh. Don’t get me started. Oh and there is absentee Kim who was whisked away to rehab. While the source of constant amusement I think it’s best she stays off the show going forward. She was barely part of the show this season and her clips from rehab makes it look like she is still drunk or high or whatever. She needs to get better and this show isn’t the place.

It’s weird looking back because the ladies of Beverly Hills are… dare I say relate able. I understand where they come from and I understand what troubles them. From Kyle and Kim’s rocky relationship to Taylor’s emotional breakdown to Camille trying to show she isn’t the way everyone thought she was to Lisa celebrating her daughter’s wedding - it’s all relate able even though they do live in another world. I know we call this a guilty pleasure but there are real lessons to take away from it. We saw Taylor’s domestic abuse and saw a glimpse of the emotional damage and roller coaster it can be. We saw Kim’s fall to her alcohol abuse and saw how crazy and dangerous alcohol can be if you let it control your life.

Let this be a lesson to us to not act like crazy people but I guess we have to be crazy because we watch every week… Oh well. :)
